GLOBAL MARKET FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE

 As the most widespread language in human history in recent decades, English has become the lingua franca of the age of the world - the common language. Today, English is spoken by 1.75 billion people - a quarter of the world's population. And this number is expected to grow only. By 2020, the British Council predicts that two billion people will speak or learn English.

 Thousands of folks across the world are learning English - not just as a hobby - but out of economic necessity.

English has the potential to generate opportunities, increase jobs and expand horizons in today's connected world. From the outset, as the language of international trade in the British Empire and its boom during the US economic expansion after the war, the English set the tide of globalization, urbanization and technology like no other language before.

 Increasingly, international business sees English as essential.

 Multinational companies are increasingly engaging in English as their business language of choice. English is now seen less as an optional foreign language and as a fundamental skill for present and future decades - the operating-system of global conversation in the world. Or, as pointed out by the "Education First" study, "fundamental skill required for the entire workforce, just as literacy has been transformed over the last two centuries from an elite privilege into an essential requirement for an Informed citizenship. "

 

 People with better English Skill have better earnings.

 Rising economies and growing countries have accepted the link between producing lots of graduates in English and increasing economic performance. Countries that give attention to integrating English into the curriculum of the primary or even preschool years are attracting foreign investment, which means an increase in gross national income and GDP.

 

 New results on learning the English language market.

 

 The command of English as the global language of business means that it is now also the most taught language.

Recognizing the worthiness of any English-speaking workforce inside our competitive global overall economy, countries are striving to increase investment in school reform programs and teacher training to increase proficiency levels in English.

 

 

 

 The expansion of international business, travel, and education means that a large number of institutions in countries around the world are taking thousands of English fluent every year to teach English.

Education markets, in general, are always evolving to meet the needs of policy makers, students, industry, and society. During the last decade, the ESL industry has seen an exponential increase in the number of children learning English as a foreign language.

 In lots of countries surrounding the world, English is now compulsory to primary or elementary. In the past five years, countries including Saudi Arabia and Vietnam have made English mandatory discipline for students aged four years and over.

 

At the same time, Japan has unveiled English learning at primary level, and young students in Dubai are now beginning to learn English in kindergarten.

 Parents are quickly taking that high knowledge of English offer their children better job opportunities in the foreseeable future, but government authorities are not paying the fee.
